Veer Gogaji (Jahar Pir)
Gogaji was a Chauhan Rajput warrior believed to be born at Dadrewa (Churu). The legend says he was born by Guru Gorakhnath’s blessing and finally entered the earth on horseback.
Devotees believe Gogaji protects against snakes; Hindus and Muslims revere him as “Jahar Pir”. He is worshipped on Goga Navami (Bhadrapada Krishna 9), with a big fair at Gogamedi (Hanumangarh).
