Pabuji Rathore
Pabuji is a Rathore folk hero of Marwar. The legend says he took the mare Kesar Kalmi from Deval Charani and promised to protect her cattle. When Jindrao Khinchi raided them, Pabuji left his own wedding mid-ceremony to fight, and died in battle.
He is said to have brought the first camels to Rajasthan, so the Rebari/Raika community worships him as protector of camels. Bhopas narrate “Pabuji ki Phad” through the night; Kolu (near Phalodi) is his main shrine.
