Gosai ji Maharaj Junjala
Gosai ji Maharaj Junjala — history and significance
Junjala Dham is in Junjala village, Jayal tehsil of Nagaur district, about 30–35 km from Nagaur on the Nagaur–Merta road. The temple of Gusainji Maharaj stands beside Ram Sarovar (Tirtha Ram Sarovar).
A pond of about 100 bigha surrounded by about 500 bigha of oran (sacred grazing land) defines the dham.
Significance and belief
Gusainji is worshipped as the Vamana avatar of Vishnu. Devotees believe the footprints here mark where Vamana placed his third step on King Bali. Muslim devotees revere the site as “Baba Kadam Rasool” — a dham of Hindu–Muslim harmony.
Folk belief holds that a Ramdevra pilgrimage is incomplete without visiting Junjala; one legend calls Gusainji and Baba Ramdev guru-brothers.
